Madison & Jeff - Part 1 | Romantic Sunrise Engagement on the Beach

MY SISTER IS ENGAGED!!! 

I don't know where to begin this post, I've got so many emotions and things to say... Madison's college graduation pictures were the first official portraits I took many years ago, this made it even more emotional that she trusted me for her engagement pictures.

I was so excited when Madison reach out to start planning her and Jeff's engagement pictures! She wanted her pictures to have a backdrop close to the vibe of where they got engaged on a rocky beach in California. We found a beach near Jupiter, Florida that gave a similar look. 

The day of the shoot I had so many mixed feelings. Excitement to take Madison and Jeff's pictures. Stress because they flew to Florida just for the pictures. Anxiety that we had only one day, only one sunrise to get these pictures. A little distress that I must be getting old if my sister is getting married. Joy that Madison and Jeff make such a great couple. A mix of so many things, but overall I was super happy to be capturing a milestone in Jeff and Madison's beautiful relationship. 

We got to the beach not long before sunrise, and most of my stress and anxiety went away when the sun began to rise and the sky was filled with lovely shades of pink, purple, and orange. Exactly the colors Madison and Jeff had been hoping for. The tide was low which made the rock formations stand out, giving more of that Cali vibe from where Jeff proposed. Honestly the weather, the sky, and the tide were all perfection. 

I made sure to get the poses and shots Madison and Jeff wanted early while we still had the beautiful sunrise in the background. This left us plenty of time for me to guide them through some creative and classic shots - like Madison sitting on top of the rocks leaning down to kiss Jeff.
