Who? Me?

Well I'm Courtney! Photography is a passion that speaks to my soul; some of my other passions are Kansas City BBQ, tea parties, sweatshirts, old black and white movies, sewing, and trying to keep my plants alive! 

I am a Midwesterner at heart; I can't get through the grocery store without saying "ope" at least once. But I don't use "y'all" that often, and I cringe at myself when it slips out. 

I'm a nurse a lot of the time and photographer the rest of the time! 

I've been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I started with polaroids and disposable cameras before graduating to a Barbie film camera and eventually digital. Ever since I was little, I have believed that all moments in life should be beautifully documented! 

For me taking pictures is a way of keeping the nostalgia alive. I want to document things as accurately and authentically as possible, so I keep things timeless and true to color. I also love to include classic black and white images to really focus on the emotions of the moment. 

Capturing images of a subject when they are aware of the camera is wonderful, but I love those in between moments of candidness when the subject gets lost in the beauty of life.
