Madison | Pittsburg State University Business Graduation
Seniors, I love them all! There is something near and dear to my heart about being able to tell the story of someone completing a milestone in their life and I was thrilled to capture this milestone for Madison as she graduated from Pittsburg State University!
Madison's senior session was nothing short of adventurous. It was quite a bitterly cold day at 40°F and windy, but Madison effortless looked gorgeous even while she was freezing! Being in the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority was a significant part of Madison's time at Pitt State so we wanted to showcase that with her sorority stole. I just love how the crimson popped against her graduation gown and black dress. It gave a classic timeless look.
We made sure to include several iconic spots on campus like Russ Hall, Carnie Smith football stadium, and the split-face gorilla in the Oval in the middle of campus. We made certain to not step on the split-face since it's bad luck and disrespectful to Gus; even if you have graduated or never went to Pitt State you don't step on Gus! Did you know Pitt State is the only college in the country with a gorilla as their mascot?!
We ended Madison's session downtown with some beautiful red and grey brick walls as well as the giant split-face mural! We thought the perfect spot for a champagne pop and spray would be in front of the Pittsburg State University mascot! Even though figuring out how to get the champagne to spray was a bit of a struggle (don't shake until the cork is out), the results looked great in front of the larger than life crimson and gold split-face gorilla!
