Someone pinch me!! When Curl Magazine reached out to me about photographing Knuckle Bump Farms' Taylor Blake and Emmanuel the emu for an article in their magazine, I thought I was hallucinating! Like what a dream!

Arriving to Knuckle Bump Farms, I was greated by many adorable animals! There were so many to see spread out among different areas of the farm. Fluffy little cows, grown up cows, goats, dogs, cats, deer, pigs, and Emmanuel the emu. I loved meeting each animal as they all had big personalities unique to them! It was such fun photographing Taylor interact with each animal and see their bond.

After meeting the majority of the animals, we moved to a more private area to meet Emmanuel the emu. I was so exited! He was sweet, yet ornery. I loved seeing him and Taylor interact. Their love for each other was evident. While watching Emmanuel nuzzle up to Taylor I noticed Emmanuel also had beautiful curls on top of his head, just like Taylor. This was absolutely perfect, especially since the whole day was about curls!

Once we finsihed taking several images with Emmanuel, it was food time for many of the animals so we went back to feed them. Taylor put her signature hat back on and with the help of her girlfriend Kristian, they made sure each animal was fed and properly cared for. All the animals, of course, were happy to see Taylor with a food bucket in her hand!   It was adorable watching each animal come up to Taylor or Kristian to get fed!

What an honor it was to photograph for Curl Magazine and work with such a great team of hair stylist Meg Conkling, make up artist Victoria Fernadez, and of course Taylor and her animals!
